Leave your stress in the dust at Hopkinton State Park with a relaxing paddle, kayak, or canoe ride around this gorgeous area full of exploration opportunities. Our experienced staff is passionate about boating and ready to get you started on your personal water adventure.

Hopkinton State Park boasts more than 1,500 acres of natural forest and open fields. Hopkinton Reservoir, a 175-acre spring-fed lake, features 3 islands, 2 swimming beaches, miles of trails, stunning vistas, and 1 totally awesome boathouse! There are also over 15 locations for trail riding, rock climbing, mountain biking, and hiking.

Don’t forget to bring a friend for a kayak or paddleboard lesson!

Driving & Request a Ride

From North or South

Take Route 495 to Exit 21A, Main Street, Hopkinton. Travel on Main Street until the third traffic light located at the heart of downtown Hopkinton. Turn left, traveling north on Route 85. Proceed approximately two miles to the Hopkinton State Park entrance on the right. Once in the park, proceed through the contact station and make a right at the fork in the road. Follow the road until it turns down towards the water—you have arrived when you see the boathouse. You can park in any of the adjacent lots. There is an $8 entrance fee to the park.
