Cue the fireworks and bring on the splash—Independence Day is coming in hot, and our boathouses are ready to float your boat. Whether you’re craving a sunrise paddle or a golden hour glide, here’s your intel on where to dip your oars this 4th of July:

Natick Boathouse

Hours: 8 am – 7 pm (last boat at 6 pm)
Walk-Ups Only: Yes

Hot Tip: This park gets packed—think sold-out-concert-level packed—by 6 am. Check the Mass DCR site before heading out to make sure it’s open.

Nahanton Park Boathouse

Hours: 9 am – 7 pm (last boat at 6 pm)
Walk-Ups Only: No
Reservations: Absolutely—7 days a week, baby. Despite what you may have heard, weekend reservations are totally a thing here. Paddle like you planned it.

Hours: 10 am – 7 pm (last boat at 6 pm)
Important Note: Same hours on July 3rd, so you can double-dip into a pre-holiday paddle.
