Returns and Refunds Policy
Thank you for shopping at Boating in Boston, Boating in DC and Boating is Fun Camp.

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

Season Passes, Groups, Tours, Gift Cards, Rentals cannot be returned or refunded.

Camp Refunds
Transferring Camp Weeks

If you need to move your camper to a different week, no problem! The only restriction is that we need to make sure there is room in the week you want to transfer into. Please make these requests sooner than later. The closer to camp we get, the harder it will be to accommodate the transfer.

Cancelling Camps

If you’re signed up for one of our camps and you have to cancel, just let us know as early as possible. If it’s 45 days (or more) from the start date we’re more than happy to give you your money back. We do keep a $75 registration fee though. If your plans change less than 45 days from the start of camp, we won’t be able to issue you a refund.

And we do need a certain number of campers before we can start the fun. If there is a chance a camp won’t happen, we’ll let you know within 7 days of the start date. You can choose to get a refund or just transfer to another week (so your little pirate doesn’t miss out on the fun).

Cancelling Lessons & Classes

If you can’t make your sailing or kayaking lesson and you can tell us more than 48 hours beforehand, we’re happy to give you a refund (less a $25 registration fee). If you realise less than 48 hours before the lesson, unfortunately it’s too late and we can’t offer a refund.

Each lesson needs a minimum number of students and if it looks like there won’t be enough; we’ll let you know within 24 hours of the lesson. But you don’t have to miss out! You can reschedule your lesson at no cost, or just get a full refund. It’s up to you.

Cancelling Group Stuff

We’re sorry to say that we don’t issue refunds if you have to cancel a group lesson or event, we do allow for a rain date option. All prepayments, and deposits are non­refundable.

Your event can happen in almost any weather and the only time we will cancel is if the conditions are unsafe. If the conditions appear unsafe, we’ll notify you at least 2 hours ahead of your event and you can choose another date (at no extra cost). A full refund will be issued if we need to cancel your group event.

Retail Products
Our retail products can be returned within 30 days of the original purchase of the retail product. A new retail product may be exchanged for another retail product or returned for a refund.

To be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

The retail product was purchased in the last 30 days
The retail product is in its original packaging- The product isn’t used or damaged- You have the receipt or proof of purchase Products that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for return.

Shipping charges
Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of a product are non-refundable.

You are responsible for paying the costs of shipping and for the risk of loss of or damage to the product during shipping, both to and from Boating in Boston, Boating in DC and Boating is fun Camp.

Damaged items
If you received a damaged product, please notify us immediately for assistance.

Sale items
Sale items can be refunded.

Digital products
We do not issue refunds for digital products once the order is confirmed and the product is sent.
