Lake Quannapowitt is a favorite amongst locals and when you get there, you’ll see why. It’s the perfect setting to enjoy a beautiful day and with a 3.5 mile loop around the lake you’ll always see people walking, jogging and riding their bikes.
For anyone looking for a slower pace there are tree-shaded paths, a small beach and a playground for the kids. There are also lots of benches from which you just sit and watch the world go by.

We’re there most weekends and we bring heaps of boating fun with us. You can rent a boat for a bit of a paddle or you can get some lessons. And if you have our Silver or Gold Pass membership, you can just show your card and grab a boat. It’s that easy!
During the year there are lots of community events here at the park, like summer night movies and one of the largest 4th of July parades in Massachusetts, and if you want to head into Wakefield Center it’s just a short walk.
What more could you ask for?

Whether you’re coming from North or South:
Take I-95 to Exit 39, North Avenue, taking a right for I-95N or left for I-95S off the exit onto North Avenue.
Then follow North Avenue for about one mile and take a left onto Church Street at the large intersection (you’ll see a baseball field).
Follow Church Street for third of a mile and take a left onto Lake Avenue. At the end of Lake Avenue, you will see our boats!
Oh and there is lots of parking on the streets nearby so no need to worry about that.
