Welcome to Spot Pond Boating
Just a short drive north of Boston, you'll find the Middlesex Fells Reservation; 2,500 acres of hiking and biking trails through natural forest and around the stunning Spot Pond Reservoir.
There is a lot to do here but if you wanted a spot of fun on the water, find us right next to the Middlesex Fells Information Centre. Oh and the big pond. You can't miss us!

Spot Pond is actually the backup reservoir for the Boston area so the water is beautifully clean and clear. There's lots of trout and bass, and you'll find lots of places to fish (but get your license first!). And if fishing's not your game, there are 3 islands on the Pond to explore; host to their own swag of birdlife. You might even be lucky enough to see a few minks running along the shore so keep your eyes peeled!
As you can see, there are a lot of things to do at Spot Pond but it's worth noting some things you can't do. You can't go swimming or bring your own boat, and dogs must stay on a leash. Oh and as a clean water reservoir, the entire location is considered a "Carry In - Carry Out" location (so don't go leaving rubbish behind).
We're at Spot Pond most days and have lots of different boats to rent (check out the whole list below). And if you have our Silver or Gold Season Pass, you can just show your card and grab a boat. It's that easy!
Bring all your friends, or the whole family, and enjoy a day of fun on the water and plenty of room for a nice picnic. Doesn't it sound nice?? See you there!
