North or South: Take Route 495 to Exit 21A, Main Street, Hopkinton. Travel on Main Street until the third traffic light located at the heart of downtown Hopkinton. Turn left, traveling north on Route 85. Proceed approximately two miles to the Hopkinton State Park entrance on the right. Once in the park, proceed through the contact station and make a right at the fork in the road. Follow the road until it turns down towards the water—you have arrived when you see the boathouse. Park your car in any of the adjacent lots.

From the South: Take I-93N to Exit 34 and bear right. The boating center is located approximately a half of a mile beyond the Stone Zoo on the right. From the North: Take I-93N to Exit 35.
At the bottom of the ramp, turn left. At the first stop sign, take
a right. Proceed through the intersection. The boating center
will be approximately a half of a mile beyond the Stone Zoo on the right.

From the North or South: Take I-95 to Exit 39, North Avenue, taking a right for I-95N or left for I-95S off the exit onto North Avenue. Then follow North Avenue for about one mile and take
a left onto Church Street at the large intersection where there
is a baseball field. Follow Church Street for third of a mile and take a left onto Lake Avenue. At the end of Lake Avenue, you
will see our boats! There is lots of parking on the street.

Public Transportation

  • Subway: Take the Red Line to JFK/UMass Station. A free shuttle bus will carry you to the campus.
  • Commuter Rail: Take the commuter rail to the JFK/UMass station from the South Shore on the Middleboro and Plymouth lines.

By car from the North

Take Interstate 93 South through Boston to exit 15 (JFK Library/South Boston/Dorchester) and follow the University of Massachusetts signs along Columbia Road and Morrissey Boulevard to the campus. 

By car from the South

Take Interstate 93 North to exit 14 ( JFK Library/Morrissey Boulevard ) and follow Morrissey Boulevard north to the campus.
