The Place To Be For Summertime Fun

Wakefield’s picturesque Lake Quannapowitt is a favorite among the locals. Drop on by and you’ll see why. There’s a 3.5-mile loop around the lake and plenty of open space for jogging, Frisbee, or a relaxing picnic on or along the lake. Get in the middle of it all by renting a kayak, paddleboard, or pedal boat.

Our experienced and friendly staff on the docks is crazy about boating and ready to get you started on your personal water adventure today. Join us for fun on the water or hop in and go after work for an exhilarating water workout.

Drop by Wakefield Boathouse to see why it’s a local favorite. Rent a boat or take a class to enjoy a day on the water.

Floater Plan Agreement
All boat renters need this form at our boathouse locations and we encourage you to print and fill it out ahead of time so you have more time in the water!

Directions & Parking

From the North or South

Take I-95 to Exit 39, North Avenue, taking a right for I-95N or left for I-95S off the exit onto North Avenue. Follow North Avenue for about one mile and take a left onto Church Street at the large intersection (you’ll see a baseball field). Follow Church Street for 1/3 of a mile and take a left onto Lake Avenue. At the end of Lake Avenue, you will see our colorful boats down by the waterfront.

There is lots of parking on the streets nearby the boathouse so no need to worry about that.

There’s a 3.5-mile loop that wraps around Lake Quannapowitt. If you’re out for a stroll, follow the path South toward Wakefield’s grassy town common. We have a rack of very colorful boats by the lakeside that you cannot miss!
